Overview

GroupsOceans ("we", "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws. We respond expeditiously to valid DMCA takedown notices.

What GroupsOceans Hosts

GroupsOceans is a group directory. We do not host the content of external groups — we only list metadata (group name, description, thumbnail preview, and invite link) submitted by our users. If you believe any listed content infringes your copyright, please follow the process below.

Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a valid DMCA notice, please send a written notification to our designated agent containing ALL of the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or the signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner).
2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim have been infringed.
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the exact URL(s) on GroupsOceans where the material appears.
4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Where to Send DMCA Notices

Send all DMCA takedown notices by email to: dmca@groupsoceans.com

Please use "DMCA Takedown Request" as the email subject. We aim to process valid notices within 3–5 business days.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same email address. A valid counter-notification must include your contact details, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court.

Repeat Infringer Policy

GroupsOceans will terminate user accounts that are found to be repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.

False Claims Warning

Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice can expose you to civil liability and legal fees. Please ensure your claim is valid before submitting.
